Pinot & Picasso: Recognising Women as the True Art Forms

March 6, 2024

In a world where women create, inspire, and empower Pinot & Picasso proudly brings you paint and sip experiences to celebrate International Women’s Day. With sessions like Mamma Mia-themed events, body-inclusivity artworks and famous figure artists like Frida Kahlo, what better way to pay homage to women, with experiences created by women, whilst discovering a unique way to celebrate the remarkable women within your teams.

When speaking to Nina Carrasco, the Head of Creative at Pinot & Picasso (and a force to be reckoned with at the age of 25), Nina spoke candidly about how creativity is the vessel for understanding female potential. Nina has been an integral part of the Pinot & Picasso team for five years, earning her place in the executive team three years ago. Nina now creates the paint-and-sip sessions loved by 50+ studios across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom and is the brains behind the IWD-themed sessions.

When women themselves are inspired to be included, there’s a sense of belonging, relevance and empowerment. The IWD 2024 #InspireInclusion campaign aims to collectively forge a more inclusive world for women.

“Therefore, this year, we want to highlight that in our art studios, everyone is a participator, not just a spectator. We give women the space to express themselves through art, not just sit passively in an audience or crowd. Art allows for that. It welcomes all, no matter their skills. Because skill is subjective. We celebrate differences, we encourage differences,” says Jess Smith, Head of Brand & Marketing at Pinot & Picasso.

Pinot and Picasso’s Body Inclusivity themed sessions are another example of how women can express themselves through art whilst celebrating uniqueness, inclusivity and creativity. After all, our bodies are a true work of art.

“I truly believe that creativity has the power to make us all feel more human. I feel creativity is the perfect place to start teaching women you are worthy of space; you can do something just for you and when you drop the doubt, you’ll find you have more talent than you give yourself credit,” says Jess Smith.

If you are looking for an activity that celebrates International Women’s Day, look no further than the IWD sessions at Pinot & Picasso- a safe place that honours women and understands that we are innate creators, and it’s time that we remind ourselves that we can achieve anything, try anything, be anything.
