Hi! I’m Alyona, the founder of Moods by A. Before starting my jewellery business, I spent years working as a flight attendant, which allowed me to explore different cultures and styles from around the world.
That experience reignited my childhood love for jewellery and inspired me to create a brand that reflects versatility and individuality. Moods by A is all about designing pieces that adapt to your mood and style, offering a unique way to express yourself through jewellery that’s both beautiful and practical.

Moods by A was born out of my passion for fashion and the inspiration I found while travelling. As a flight attendant, I was lucky to experience the richness of different cultures, and that shaped my approach to design. I wanted to create something that feels personal and meaningful yet practical, adaptable, and versatile.
The name Moods by A reflects the idea of jewellery that changes with you, whether it’s your mood, style, or the occasion. It’s about creating pieces that are versatile and timeless, while also being a tool for self-expression. For me, it’s not just jewellery; it’s a way for people to tell their own stories.
A lot of Moods by A pieces are called convertible. What is convertible jewellery?
Convertible jewellery is jewellery that can be transformed, worn, and styled in different ways, giving you the freedom to personalise your look. For example, one necklace might be worn as a choker, as a Y-necklace, or as a long rope necklace. Earrings with two pairs of pendants can be worn with all pendants at once, or some of them can be taken off to mix and match depending on one’s mood and outfit. It’s like waking up to a new piece of jewellery every day.
This unique approach means that every piece isn’t just an accessory, it’s a tool for self-expression. I work with materials like freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, shells, upcycled vintage beads, and fabrics, blending timeless elements with modern design. I love adding personal touches incorporating unique details into each creation. Each piece is designed to be effortless and adaptable while maintaining that special spark that makes it truly stand out.
Handmade jewellery feels more special because of the care and thought that goes into each piece. Unlike mass-produced items, handmade jewellery has a story and individuality. When you wear it, you’re not just accessorising, you’re carrying something meaningful and unique.
