The Melbourne Fashion Week 2025 Lineup You Cannot Miss

Melbourne Fashion Week isn’t simply a six-day extravaganza for locals. It’s a sensation that injects the city with its signature oomph once spring hits and beckons interstate and global personalities; quirky capsules outside Town Hall, secret underground runways, thought-provoking panels and workshops that might just unlock your creative genius. Here’s the 2025 lineup we suggest you keep your eyes peeled for once the city undergoes its transformation for Fashion Week in 2025.

Fashion x Music Presented By Collarts

Twelve visionary designers will take to the catwalk, with each collection accompanied by musical performers or a curated soundtrack. Witness the two worlds of fashion and music beautifully intersect, with design influences drawn from across the globe, reflecting each designer’s heritage in a cultural amalgamation. Step back into time with Antiek East’s colonial-esque pieces, inspired by the British Raj in India – helmed by the talented Abha Gupta. Melbourne favourites J’Aton Couture and Jason Grech promise to put on a sartorial spectacle as always and discover Edition’s collaboration with Gurindji Waanyi artist Sarrita King. Presented with M/FW partner Collarts.

Opulent Tastes Runway

Get a seat at a decadent dinner table within Il Mercato Centrale for a celebration of vintage glamour. It’s a perfect merge of established Australian designers and upcoming local labels with Italian culinary indulgences in a rather unexpected setting. First Nations favourite, Ngali will grace the runway, alongside the vibrantly colourful prints of Gary Bigeni, Atoir’s unmistakably feminine  sophistication and Perple’s theatrical creations.

Melbourne Made, Makers Lane

What does it mean to truly buy local? Amidst the white noise of constantly shifting trends, textile waste and disposable fashion, this celebration in historic shopping precinct Howey Place honours photographers, designers, models and makers and their commitment towards crafting locally with responsibility and care. Delve into the inspiration behind garments created in Howey Place during the 20th century and the work that goes into producing fashion in Australia.

Closing Runway: 101 Collins

Close out Melbourne’s biggest week with an evening of spectacle and elegance, replete with a musical touch by singer/songwriter Odette. This is the night that honours the city’s most prolific voices of fashion, from Amy Cottrell, Erik Yvon’s pieces rooted in his vibrant Mauritian heritage, the dystopian fluidity of Gotham Studios and the playful Australian nostalgia of Lucinda Babi Grab your tickets while you can!
