Maime Bakes: Baker and Fake Cake Artist

Do you want to feel like it's your birthday every day? Meet Maime Bakes, a talented certified baker and fake cake artist.

Do you want to feel like it’s your birthday every day? Or perhaps you loved your birthday cake so much that you want to cherish it forever? Meet Maime from Maime Bakes, a talented certified baker whose journey from England to Australia led her to the realisation of her dream – becoming a full-time custom cake and fake cake artist.

Maime’s love for baking traces back to her early childhood, where she fondly recalls waking up at 5 am to bake with her father, armed with a Betty Crocker cookbook. Her passion for the craft only grew stronger as she moved from England to Australia at the age of 17 in search of a better life and more opportunities. Despite facing challenges as the only girl in a male-dominated apprenticeship, Maime’s determination and love for baking never wavered.

In 2023, after a short break from baking, Maime launched Maime Bakes to pursue her dream of baking full-time. While specialising in Retro cakes, Maime Bakes has become widely known for their exceptional custom fake cakes that mimic everyday objects.

Maime uses her piping and cake decoration expertise to craft realistic and edible-looking cake mirrors, jewellery boxes, compacts, and tissue boxes, leaving everyone in awe. From colours to style, size, shape and decorations, these fake cakes are completely customisable meaning that you can forever have a reminder of your special day or have some adorable and mouth-watering creations on the go.

Today, Maime Bakes operates from the comfort of her home, with orders pouring in faster than she can keep up – a testament to the quality and creativity of her artworks.
