Beauty-Inspired Activities for the Ultimate Beauty Girl

March 31, 2024

When we first hear the word beauty, it’s easy to get swept up in the superficial connotations. However, the concept of beauty is so much more than this and reflects how we are within. This means that true beauty is encompassed by how we take care of ourselves, nurture our mind, body and soul, act and contribute to the community around us.

So here are our top 5 healthy and soulful restaurant and activity recommendations that will fill your cup and tap into your beauty within.

Free to Feed

Founded in 2015, Free to Feed is a non-for-profit social enterprise that creates employment opportunities for refugees and asylum seekers through the creation of shared food experiences. Book a cooking class with participants from all walks of life and countries with rich culinary histories. Free to Feed has distributed over $1.4 million in employment wages to people seeking asylum and refugees in the Melbourne community, which is an amazing achievement so book a cooking class, listen to their stories, form treasured connections, support a worthy cause and learn a new dish or two! Founder Eliza Madeline and her team of qualified makeup artists will have you looking and feeling your best as you cruise through the (often daunting) world of makeup. The best part? You are the canvas and get to leave looking your absolute best! May we suggest booking a night out after or perhaps seeing a special someone… Classes are $85 (makeup is supplied, just bring your own foundation and mascara!) and can be booked here.

Small Graces

Going local is currently something of a trend. However, Small Graces’ founders Diego Portilla and Rebecca Howell have always been committed to using local, ethically sourced ingredients and produce that has undergone nominal processing. With most vegetables being sourced from Central Victoria’s Goornong, eggs from Victoria’s Burd Eggs and bread from Seddon’s Sourdough Kitchen, you can rest assured that this food is truly healthy, nourishing and feeds the soul, not just the stomach.
